This is the return of our annual Tambor Cruise, and we want to make it a meaningful one!
The purpose of this event is to provide an extended respite for those seeking to integrate dance music and movement for healing - amplified by the submergence in the cultural and historical richness of one of the oldest civilizations on earth, the great Egypt of Africa.
We hope you'll join us for this unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience along the sacred Nile River from Sunday, October 22, 2023 through Sunday, October 29, 2023.
This experience takes place in Egypt, Africa. It begins in Luxor, followed by a cruise on the Nile River that ends in Aswan.
Space for this event is extremely limited, with only 300 total tickets available. Our goal is to provide our guests with an intimate and exclusive experience where we are able to truly connect with one another.
Please bring your Tambor Cruise ticket, the card you purchased the ticket with (Amex is not accepted on the cruise), as well as valid non-expired PHOTO I.D.
(PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL AND CHECK-IN)
A valid passport is a requirement for air travel to / from Egypt and is needed for ALL Travelers. Many countries require that your passport is valid for at least (6) months after your travel itinerary.
Note: Baptismal papers and hospital certificates of birth are not acceptable. Voter registration cards or Social Security cards are not considered proof of citizenship.
It is your responsibility to confirm the official passport requirements for your federal government and to ensure that your passport is valid prior to traveling. No refunds will be provided for invalid passports.
You should first refer to your home country's official government website regarding the requirements for obtaining a tourist visa for Egypt.
It is strongly recommended that you apply for a visa online. The process takes up 10 days, and has often taken even less. The visa is only valid for 90 days from the time is accepted, so we recommend that you apply for your visa in September.

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service to allows U.S. citizens/nationals traveling abroad to enroll with the local U.S. Embassy or Consulate. There are currently no vaccinations required to travel to Egypt. You should frequently refer to Egypt's official government website for vaccination requirements for tourists and non-citizens.
We do advise, however, that you consult with your medical care provider to ensure that you are taking all the necessary steps for your unique health situation.
Be sure to bring all medication needed, that will last you the entire trip (including your travel days).
There is no formal dress code or regulation in Egypt. However, because we will be visiting temples, we recommend that you dress modestly. This doesn't mean you can't be fly though! The photos you take are momentos that you'll keep forever - these are epic photo opportunities... Dress accordingly.
Also, it will be hot outside and we'll be doing a bit of walking. We strongly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. We also recommend wearing cotton and fabric that can breathe easily. Any head coverings, sunscreen, and portable fans are also recommended!
For a nominal fee, laundry service is provided on the ship during the cruise as well as at the hotel resorts that we are staying at in Luxor and Aswan.
The hotel resorts also provide clothing irons. We recommend bringing a travel-size clothing steamer just in case!

2023 is the return of the annual Tambor Cruise where over 3,000+ cruisers to-date have sailed with us. The 2023 Tambor Cruise in Egypt has very limited capacity so tickets may sell out very quickly. A waitlist form will be published if and when tickets sell out.

You are encouraged to come as your most authentic, expressive self! This is an opportunity for play, fun, and tapping into your own royalty! Each day, we will have a theme that will guide or inform what to wear for the parties. This information will be shared with registered guests leading up to the cruise.
You have the option to provide a deposit to secure your ticket and select an installment plan to pay off the remaining balance. The payment plan is managed by Tambor Cruise’s booking platform, Easol.
The payment plan applies to your ticket purchase as well as add-on items offered by Tambor Cruise such as hotel upgrades, optional excursions or drink packages that you purchase at the time of your ticket booking. You can view your payment plan schedule and payment due dates by logging into your Easol account.
The payment plan system allows you to spread out monthly payments evenly from the time of booking your reservation to the final due date for all payments on September 15, 2023.
You'll pay a non-refundable deposit when you first book your reservation, and each month following, your credit/debit card will be automatically charged the payment plan amount on the same day that you initially booked the reservation.
NOTE: A fee of $15 USD is applied for each payment scheduled in your payment plan. For example, if your payment plan is divided into (4) payments , there is a $15 fee per payment for a total of $60 that is calculated and reflected in your Total Balance Due.
Please keep in mind that currently the Easol booking platform creates one payment plan for the account - it is not separated by Guest.
If a payment attempt fails for whatever reason (e.g. card has expired, is no longer valid, insufficient funds or card is declined by the bank), then we will:
Please note, upon cancellation of the booking due to your failure to keep up with the Payment Plan, Tambor Cruise has the right to cancel your booking reservation and you will lose your deposit. It is Tambor Cruise's discretion to re-instate your booking reservation and / or your Automatic Payment Plan. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for a comprehensive overview of our cancellation policy.
Yes, you are allowed to pay off your outstanding balance before your payment plan ends. If and when you are want to pay off early, please email the Tambor Support team at support@tamborcruise.com so that we can deactivate the payment plan and you can make your final payment for the remaining balance. Please keep in mind that currently the Easol booking platform creates one payment plan for the account - it is not separated by Guest.
All outstanding balances must be paid in full by September 15, 2023.
The Easol platform currently does not support multiple payments in given a month. Payments are automatically drafted each month for the amount calculated on your payment schedule. You can find those details in your Easol account summary.
Yes, financing is available for your entire Tambor Cruise Festival experience via Uplift.
Uplift is an online lender that offers vacation loans with low, monthly installment payments for up to two years. You can pay off early with no penalties.
The company does this by partnering with popular travel brands, like Southwest Airlines and Air Canada, to offer an installment payment option. You can use Uplift with any travel supplier as long as the purchase is paid in full immediately. That means cruise reservations, flights, hotels, additional excursions and hotels outside of the Tambor Cruise Festival and more.
Anyone who meets all of the following requirements can apply for Uplift financing:
Financing may cover new and/or outstanding balances owed for your ticket purchase to the Tambor Cruise Festival, your costs for airline flights, travel insurance and any travel plans such excursions, hotels etc. that you plan to utilize beyond what is included with your ticket to Tambor Cruise Egypt.
You will work with Toni, our Tambor Cruise travel consultant and certified Uplift agent, to itemize all of your costs prior to the application submission. It is critical that before you submit the Uplift application for financing, that you document all of your itemized new and unpaid balances associated with each travel supplier such as Tambor Cruise Egypt Tickets, airline flights, travel insurance, etc.
You can use Uplift with travel suppliers as long as the purchases are eligible to be paid in full. If you are approved for Uplift financing, the loan amount is issued directly to Toni via a virtual credit card. Toni is the only person with access to the credit card details. She will immediately pay your new and unpaid balances for each travel supplier, while you are on the Zoom call with her.
This is a very time-sensitive process so you must come prepared with your balances itemized as well any account credentials you need to log in with in order for the balances to be paid.
Tambor Cruise has its own personal travel consultant and certified Uplift agent on the team - Toni S. Winston, from Freedom Travel Diva. She can support you with financing and /or flight arrangements.

Although not mandatory, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance in case anything happens that may require you to cancel your trip. In addition to the Tambor Cruise ticket, travel insurance can cover all of your travel expenses such as flights, extra excursions and hotels that you purchase outside of your Tambor Cruise ticket as well as medical coverage should you need it while in Egypt.

No, airfare is not included in your ticket for the Tambor Cruise Festival in Egypt. Arranging your arrival flight to Luxor and departure flight from Aswan are your responsibility.
However, once you arrive in Luxor we've got you covered every step of the way until you depart in Aswan.
Also keep in mind that from North America, the travel time to Egypt can take approximately 20 hours (accounting for actual flight time and layovers). In addition, Eastern standard time zone is 7 hours behind Egypt local time.
You'll want to prepare accordingly in order to arrive in Luxor by early afternoon local Egypt on Sunday, October 22.

International flights from North America and most of Europe are routed through Cairo International Airport (CAI), which means Tambor guests can expect to fly from their Home Destination into Cairo, Egypt.
Within Egypt, guests will take two additional domestic flights, which are:
1. "Cairo to Luxor" , guests will take a brief 1 - hour flight to Luxor, Egypt where the Tambor Cruise Experience begins Sunday, October 22, 2023.
2. "Aswan to Cairo", the Tambor Cruise ends in Aswan, Egypt on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Guests will take a 1-hour flight from Aswan to Cairo before making the return trip to their Home destination.
ARRIVAL IN LUXOR, EGYPT (LUX) Sunday, October 22, 2023. We encourage our Tambor guests to land in Luxor by 12 Noon local time so that you have sufficient time to be transported from the airport, check-in for your hotel room and refresh before attending the Tambor Cruise Meet and Greet at 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
DEPARTURE FROM ASWAN, EGYPT (ASW) Sunday, October 29,2023. Guests should keep in mind that the flight from Aswan to Cairo should be arranged so that there is at least a 3-hour window before their flight from Cairo to their Home destination.
PLEASE CHECK THE TIME DIFFERENCE IN EGYPT BEFORE BOOKING TO ENSURE A SEAMLESS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE.
When arriving in Luxor, the airport is 11km or just under 7 miles away.
When departing from Aswan your journey from hotel to airport is around 26km or 16 miles.

Yes, your ticket purchase includes group airport transfers on Sunday, 10/22 and Sunday, 10/29.
After you arrive on 10/22 at the Luxor International Airport (LUX) in Luxor, Egypt an escort will guide you through baggage claim to the bus coach that will take you to our hotel at Steigenberger Achti Resort.
Private group transportation is also provided on Sunday, 10/29 to transfer you from our hotel at Mövenpick Aswan Resort to Aswan International Airport (ASW) in Aswan, Egypt. An airport escort will also be provided for you.
NOTE: Additional fees apply if you want airport transfers for Cairo, transfers for Luxor airport if you arrive before 10/22 and/or transfers for Aswan if departing after 10/29.

1) It can sometimes be cost effective to book a round trip from your Home destination to Cairo, Egypt and book 1-way flights your Egypt domestic flights to Luxor and from Aswan.
2) For your 1-way flight from Cairo (CAI) to Luxor (LUX) on October 22, 2023, ensure you have at least 2.5 hours between the time you land in Cairo and your departure for Luxor so that you have time to retrieve your luggage, go through customs and the visa review and check-in for your for domestic flight to Luxor.
3) For your 1-way flight from Aswan (ASW) to Cairo (CAI) on October 29, 2023 - per TSA guidelines for international flights , ensure you have at 3 hours between the time you arrive in Cairo and the departure time for your flight home. (your Aswan flight may arrive in a terminal different than terminal for your Home flight.)
4) There is a 7 hour time difference between EST time zone and Egypt and the flight duration is about 17-20 hours depending on layover time. Flying from east coast, USA if you organize an international flight departing early morning on 10/20 - you should reach be able to organize your flights to be able to arrive in Luxor by Noon on 10/22.
